Having been born on this gem we call Curaçao, and of Grenadian descent has been a blessing!

I learned to speak 4 languages in school, on the playground, at home and during my studies overseas in the Netherlands.

Carnival and many other events helped me understand what it means to grow up being multicultural and resourceful. My mom taught me to respect and honor nature, music and culture. I therefore hope I made my people proud performing my ode to our wonderful island on stage at the Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival.

A plethora of nations living in harmony for centuries, sharing good food with locals and friends from abroad, exciting events that attract visitors from all over the globe, nature hikes, a day at the spa and/or beach and fair connectivity with the rest of the world are a few valid reasons that still keep things interesting on this rock.
